❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 5/5 hearts!

Liza James has written an outstanding paranormal fantasy book that had me binging for hours. I was instantly pulled into a realm of angels and demons fighting for their life, and I met characters that left an everlasting impression. I can’t wait to see were book two will take us.

Luna doesn’t know what she is, but she is kidnapped, almost killed multiple times, and forced into many undesirable situation all because of what she is. I enjoyed reading about Luna’s character. She is a strong women for having been through everything that she has. She did come off as naïve a few time. I do blame that on everyone not giving her the information she needed to navigate her new world.

Liza James wrote a great complex character with Elijah. She made me love and (mostly) hate him. I don’t agree with most of his decisions even if I do understand why he does them. He purposely hurt the women who completed him all because of a bad past relationship. He also had annoying double standards. I couldn’t agree more with him when he said that he was the devil. Once he let his past dictate his future, he need Luna like she was his last breath. That’s when he had my heart swooning.

The plot was intriguing. It had me flipping pages fast, and I couldn’t tell what would happen next. It was an emotional roller coaster that I didn’t want to get off of. I wish it touched more on Luna’s training. I love reading about kickass women becoming stronger physically and mentally. I hope the next book is from Luna’s sister, Stella, and Elijah’s brother, Nathaniel. I’m curious how they are going to navigate their relationship.

ARC received for a honest review.
