❤️❤️❤️❤️💔 4/5 hearts!
I don’t read many student/teacher forbidden romances, but I’m glad I took a chance on this one. It was a beautifully written story of finding true love at the wrong time. It was filled with touching moments, funny embarrassing parts, and steamy scenes. Roxie Noir crafted such a fantastic plot that had me addicted to every page.
With one fortunate encounter in the men’s bathroom, Caleb met Thalia. Their connection was instant, and they had a perfect night of fun together. They planned for a second date, until Monday rolled around, and they found out Caleb was Thalia’s math teacher.
I like that, even though they’re a student and teacher, there wasn’t a massive age gap between them. Caleb is a young new professor, and Thalia is still in her senior year. There were a few mentions of Caleb saying that he felt like a “dirty old pervert” for lusting after a student. I’m glad Roxie Noir made it known that it wasn’t just a creepy teacher seducing a student. Caleb and Thalia did try to do the right thing by staying away from each other. They definitely made some poor choices in the end though, and they had to pay for them. One my favorite things about the book was the depth of the characters. They had flaws, and baggage which made the story believable and realistic.
This was my first Loveless Brothers book, and after this read, it will not be my last. I put the other 3 standalone books in the series on my TBR list
