❤️❤️❤️❤️💔 4/5 hearts!
Happy Throwback Thursday! Crazy Little Thing by Tracy Brogan is a book I read back in 2016. I was reading mostly paranormal romance and YA books, but something about the cover and blurb just pulled me in. I’m so glad I took a chance on it, because it’s such a ridiculously amusing book.
Sadie is trying to recover over a resent divorce, and decides to head to her cooky Aunt Dody’s, with her children. Her confidence is low, and she’s sworn off men. Sadie’s Aunt gets hurt, and she runs to the nearest doctor, Desmond. Des, who is temporality replacing the town doctor, is living next door to Aunt Dody. He’s a sweet man, good with kids, and puts up with the eccentric Aunt Dody. The attraction between Sadie and Des was instant. After many mishaps, embarrassing moments, and many efforts to resist, they finally received their happy ever after.
This was the first book of Tracy Brogan that I read, but I really enjoy her writing style. She was descriptive, and kept everything realistic. Tracy kept me smiling, and even laughing out loud at times. It’s a light hearted, fast paced book that I couldn’t put down. The characters seemed like average people, which made it easy to connect to them. I would recommend this book to anyone who is in a book funk, or just wants a light hearted read.
