He Hates Me Not

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 5/5 hearts!

The first book ends on a cliffhanger, and this one picks up right were it left off. What a phenomenal way to ending this duet too. I inhaled this book. I loved everything between Jasper and Georgina. I’m sad that I won’t be reading their story anymore, but I’m happy that received their HEA.

I’m usually not a fan of mafia romances, but this one was exceptionally special. I’m always a fan of a strong heroine, and Georgina kept that going through the story. She  was smart, and didn’t let her feelings for Jasper get in the way. I don’t disagree with how she handled everything, but I also don’t fault Jasper. He really thought he was doing the right thing for Georgina. Since she wasn’t raised in the life style of a mafia princess, Jasper thought she was to soft.

Isabella Starling and Rina Kent did not hold back anything with this story. It’s just as dark, if not more than the first.  We learn the missing pieces to the story. It does feel like a never ending mystery of secrets. There’s action that kept me on my toes. The push and pull between Jasper and Georgina was intense, and it demanded my attention. This isn’t for the faint of heart, but if you love dark romances then this book is for you.

Life Forgotten

❤️❤️❤️ 3/5 hearts!

As I was reading the book, I was struggling right a long with Nellie. I’ve never been in her position before, but I have been around people with Alzheimer’s. It’s extremely sad and painful to watch. This was an amazing reading experience, specially for people who have never seen how Alzheimer’s can affect someone.

Nellie has completely lost site of who she is while trying to solve everyone else’s problems. Her world seems grey but when she meets Jude it’s the first time she’s had color in her life in a long time. He was patient with her, and showed her he will be there for her no matter what. What he did at the end had my heart swooning.

Books like this can be hard to read sometimes. Everything that happened could happen to anyone. It almost didn’t seem fiction. I think that’s why it seemed to drag on for me. I’m glad that Nellie and Jude had a happy ending that they both deserved.

I loved every single minute of this book. The prologue had me hooked, and I had to know what was going to happen. Kaydence Snow is a new author for me. I will be stalking her for the next book in the series.

I wasn’t expecting my heart to hurt so much when I was reading about Mena’s life. She has dealt with so much within such a short period. Many times I wish I could of pulled her out of the story to hug her, and let her know things will get better. Mena’s story is relatable with how horrible high school kids can be. She didn’t deserve everything that they did, but she’s so strong. I was fighting for her through the whole book.

Turner, oh boy, were you just perfect. Teenage years can be tough, but I have so much empathy for him and his family. He was so sweet and basically wonderful for Mena. Turners struggles were different then hers, but just as hard. I don’t want to spoil to much about everything going on. It definitely surprised me, and I know it will you too.

I’m not sure how Kaydence snow is going to be able to top this book with the next one. I’m definitely excited for her next book. If you haven’t added this to your TBR pile, you definitely need to right now!

IOU

❤️❤️❤️❤️ 4/5 hearts!

What an amazing story! The perfect amount of funny romance and sexual tension. I enjoyed this story from start to finish. I wasn’t ready for their story to end either, and I really hope we see other books in this world.

I feel like Ainsley is my soul sister. I related to her on so many levels. She’s the best type of crazy too. My absolute favorite part about her is how unapologetic she is with her personality. Even during her strokes of bad luck she still stayed true to herself. I was rooting for her, and truly enjoyed watching her character grow.

Maverick is the perfect book boyfriend. After you get pass his reputation and all the rumors he tries to hide behind, he has a heart of gold. He love’s his family, and would do anything for them. Maverick feels like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders with all the secrets he has. Ainsley is able to bust through his wall, and is perfect for him.

I loved watching them unknowingly fall in love with each other. I adore when characters start off as friends first, learn to depend on each, and slowly realize they’re in love with each other. Ainsley pushed all his buttons too, and the banter between these two was perfect foreplay. Of course they received their HEA, but they both deserved it.

If you haven’t read this book yet, you definitely need to add this one to your TBR list!
